SECTION 00 10 11- ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID
The WILSON CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT invites sealed bids for construction of a Capital Improvements Project - Phase 3 as follows:
Mechanical Construction Contract
Electrical Contract
For the "2021 Capital Improvements Project - Phase 3" located at the Wilson Elementary School and High/Middle School located in Wilson, NY 14172. This project includes adding air conditioning systems in classrooms within the buildings.
Sealed bids will be received at the Wilson Central School District Business Office at 374 Lake Street, P.O. Box 648, Wilson, NY 14172 up to 3:00pm on February 5th, 2026, at which time the sealed bids will be opened and read aloud at the HS/MS Auditorium. Sealed bids may be mailed to Wilson Central School District, 372 Lake Street, P.O. Box 648, Wilson, NY 14172. Contractors are encouraged to visit the site by making appointments with Todd Harmon, Director of Facilities at (716)-751-3240.
Bid Documents
Bidding Documents will be available as of January 8th, 2026. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained at: Avalon at 40 La Riviere Drive, Buffalo, NY 14202. Phone (716)-995-7777, upon deposit of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per complete set. Checks shall be made payable to the Wilson Central School District but sent to Avalon at the address above.
Bidders that would like sets of Plans and Specifications to be mailed to them shall contact Avalon for shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable and are payable to Avalon.
A Bidder, making the deposit required for the Bidding Documents, submitting a Proposal accompanied by a certified check or other security in accordance with the requirements contained in the plans and specifications and public advertisement for bids and if the copy of the plans and specifications used by such Bidder, other than the successful Bidder is returned in good condition within thirty (30) days to Avalon (address above) award of the contract covered by such plans and specifications, or rejection of the Bid, the full amount of such deposit for one copy of the plans and specifications shall be returned to such Bidder, including the successful Bidder.
For the convenience of prospective Bidders, subcontractors and material suppliers, Bidding Documents will also be on file at the following locations:

Questions From Bidders
All questions in regards to the meaning of the plans, specifications, or other contract documents will not be made verbally. All requests for such information should be sent via email using the attached form to the following contacts.

*Note: All questions must be received no later than 3:00 PM on Monday, February 2nd, 2026. Responses will be distributed to all registered plan holders in the form of addendum.
Supplemental Bid Information
Attention of the Bidder is particularly called to the Owner's sales tax exemption, the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract.
Bids shall be prepared as set forth in "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS", enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing on its face the name and address of the Bidder and the title of the Work to which the bid enclosed relates.
Each Bidder shall deposit with its bid, security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS."
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual bid opening.
The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in or to reject any or all bids.
The Owner further reserves its right to disqualify Bidders for any material failure to comply with the "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS" and "SUPPLEMENTARY INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS."
